At Rooney Earthmoving, we have a huge variety of vehicles and equipment to use for different tasks related to construction, excavation, and earth-moving operations. Here are some common types of vehicles and equipment you might find:

  1. Excavators: These are large machines with a bucket on the end of a hydraulic arm used for digging and moving earth. Excavators come in various sizes, from mini-excavators for small-scale projects to heavy-duty excavators for large-scale earthworks.

  2. Bulldozers: Bulldozers are powerful machines equipped with a large blade on the front for pushing soil, debris, and other materials. They are commonly used for grading, leveling, and clearing land.

  3. Loaders: Wheel loaders or front-end loaders are used for loading materials like dirt, gravel, and debris into trucks or onto conveyors. They have a large bucket at the front that can be raised and tilted for efficient loading.

  4. Dump Trucks: These are heavy-duty trucks used for transporting materials such as soil, gravel, rocks, and construction debris. Dump trucks are designed with an open bed that can be hydraulically raised to unload the contents.

  5. Graders: Graders, also known as motor graders, are used for creating flat surfaces and maintaining roads. They have a long blade that can be adjusted to level the ground and create slopes.

  6. Compactors: Compactors are used to compress and flatten soil, gravel, or other materials to increase their density and stability. Vibratory plate compactors and smooth drum rollers are commonly used in earthworks.

  7. Scrapers: Scrapers are large, self-propelled machines used for moving large amounts of earth, typically over long distances. They have a bowl or hopper at the front that can be filled with material and then dumped at the desired location.

  8. Backhoes: Backhoes are versatile machines with a digging bucket on the back and a loader bucket on the front. They are commonly used for digging trenches, excavating, and loading materials.

  9. Trenchers: Trenchers are specialized machines used for digging narrow trenches, typically for utilities like pipes or cables. They come in different sizes and configurations, including chain trenchers and wheel trenchers.

  10. Concrete Mixers: Concrete mixers are used to mix cement, water, and aggregate to create concrete. They come in various sizes, from small portable mixers to large truck-mounted mixers.

These are just some examples of vehicles and equipment that we commonly use here at Rooney Earthmoving for our civil earthwork projects.
